Kate Wilson, M.S.,LAc is a co-founder of The Birth Point Acupuncture Group of Santa Cruz, a collaboration of acupuncturists with specialized training in pregnancy care offering comprehensive support for the Santa Cruz birth community since 2002.  

Licensed at both the state and national levels, Kate has been supporting women and their families for over a decade in this community.  She has received extensive training in women’s health, including an internship with Raven Lang, OMD.  She holds a Master’s of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Five Branches Institute.

As an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, Kate formed a (National Association of Detoxification Acupuncture) NADA protocol clinic to help the women of The Sienna House Maternity Home with their issues of stress and addiction. 

Kate is a member of the Birth Network of Santa Cruz and has trusted relationships with many of the midwives (home and hospital) and Obstetricians in Santa Cruz.  Having worked as a doula and being on-call for Birth Point, Kate has attended many births and has developed a profound respect for the unique process that arrives for each woman and her family. 
She is a mother of two young children,  both delivered in Santa Cruz (one via Cesarean section,  the other by un-medicated VBAC).  The experience of growing, birthing and raising her children in this community has deepened her practice and understanding of the unique nature of this incredible community.
